We are committed to expand access to quality education. By so doing, we empower individuals, strengthen communities, and lay a solid foundation for sustainable development across Africa.
The main activities of our organization are based on Quality Education, which align with the Goal number 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On the side, we also have charity activities for women and children who find themselves in extremely difficult situations due to war and other socio-economic discriminations mainly based on traditional practices. These activities align with the Goal Number 1 aiming to end poverty, Goal number 3 seeking health and well-being, and, Goal number 5 aiming to achieve gender equality.
Therefore, we categorize our activities into three main groups which are Education and research activities, women based activities and lastly, charity-based activities to which we add publishing and promoting activities.
Our activities are based on the following targets
Provide tailored Education to Africans, youth in particular in order to help them face their local challenges.
Adapt the Korean model to the African local issues and spread the experience through quality education.
Ensure capacity building of the African young generation.
Reinforce the academic relation between African countries and Korea as well as other developed countries.
Improve research environment and system in Africa.
Broaden the access to research material and data on Africa.
Establish a research platform for exchange between African researchers and others interested in African research.
We aim to provide relief support to children facing difficult situation. Especially war orphans and abandoned children.
Children born of rape are among the most vulnerable. Often abandoned, stigmatized or left without care, they face lifelong barriers through no fault of their own. At Focus Afrika, we believe these children deserve protection, inclusion and chance to thrive — with love, education and long-term support. So we aim to provide it to them.
When a woman is raped, she is often cast aside — and so are the children she already has. These innocent children, too, lose their fathers, homes, and safety, simply because their mother was a victim. They are paying for the crime that isn't their. At Focus Afrika we aim provide them with long term support.
Also, we aim to provide education opportunities to talented children who are limited by financial difficulties
Provide emergency assistance to Gender based violence survivors, namely war rape and tradition-based violence.
We aim to empower women affected by war and rape by building their capacity and helping them gain financial breakthrough.
The development of Korea has been fast and fascinating, there is a lot Africa can and should learn from it, and then apply the knowledge to the African context, and most importantly, to the local communities context in order to respond to local needs and enhance grassroot development of African countries.
