At Focus Afrika, we believe every step forward counts. While we are at the beginning of our journey, we are already laying the foundation for long-term, transformative change across Africa — one person, one community, one act at a time.
Since our inception, we have focused on building strong internal systems, trusted community relationships, and strategic partnerships to prepare for deep, sustainable impact.
As part of our upcoming Survive Project, we completed a detailed needs assessment and successfully recruited 130 vulnerable families — widows and survivors of war-related sexual violence — in Eastern DR Congo. This marks a crucial step in ensuring our interventions are community-driven and truly responsive to real needs.
We supported four talented individuals from Africa to receive training in South Korea, equipping them with leadership and development skills to drive transformation in their home countries.
We organized a core strategic workshop to bring together changemakers, discuss local development challenges, and build a unified vision for our work in Africa.
Through our local partners in DR Congo, we have formed more than 300 youth, building their capacities in various fields in order to help them access their dream carriers and achieve their dreams. Some of them are also spreading the acquired knowledge in their villages and local communities such as English teaching.
