Members are individuals or organizations who agree with the founding purpose of the organization and are approved by the Board of Directors upon submitting a membership application. We have different categories of members and any one willing to join us can freely become a member in one of the categories. All categories of members are free to volunteer for the organization in various activities for the accomplishment of its mission.
Members have the right to participate in the General Assembly and the governance of the organization.
Members must comply with the organization’s statutes, regulations, and resolutions, they must pay the monthly contributions (minimum $1 per month) and they are also called to pay other required contributions. Members can withdraw any time on their own decision.
A member may be expelled by resolution of the Board of Directors if they:
Damage the organization’s reputation or obstruct its operations or if they fail to fulfill membership obligations for more than three years.
Those who actively participate in the organization’s activities and/or pay the required monthly contributions estimated to minimum $1 per month. They have the obligation to participate to the annual general assembly meeting and have voting & election rights.

Donors who support the mission by contributing funds or other material or intellectual resources but don’t actively participate in other activities of the organization such as general assembly. They have no voting or election rights.

Individuals who participated in establishing the organization and pay their monthly contributions. They have the obligation to be present at annual general assembly meetings and, They have the voting and election rights.
"Youth education is exactly what we need for Africa's sustainable development. Not only the content needs to evolve but also the education system in most African countries needs to change in order to meet actual challenges we face in our daily lives", Ngaboneka Aimable, co-founder of Focus Afrika Education for Development.
Legally registered organizations, institutions, schools, or groups that align with the vision and mission of the organization. They may be based in Korea or other countries. They have voting and election rights.
"We support collaboration and exchange between African countries and Korea. It helps us know more abut Africa and vice-versa. This is the world in which collaboration is the foundation of advancement and development" , Global Lounge correspondent.
Individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the organization and are appointed by the General Assembly. They have voting and election rights.
"Working with African students has been a great source of inspiration and courage. They are smart and determined which is why i believe that with a proper education and fruitful network, African countries can develop even faster than Korea did", Focus Afrika honorary member, Jo Suk-hyeon.
